About the Founder

The Crawfish & Catfish Festival is organized by Susan Ramon AKA Louisiana Sue.

Originally from New Orleans, Sue arrived in Sacramento in the late 1980’s with a Crawfish in her mouth, Mardi Gras in her heart and Zydeco in her soul.

Louisiana Sue is a lady dedicated to fun, food, music and dancing and bringing the flavors of the south to our own Sacramento area. She is devoted to keeping Zydeco, Cajun, New Orleans style jazz music alive with continued sponsoring of festivals, Mardi Gras, dances, parties and a taste of the most popular of southern foods. You never know when or where the next event will be, so checking the website often will keep you apprised. A great idea to get family and/or friends together and “Pass a good time” eating, drinking, laughing, and dancing!
